Carpenter Ants

Carpenter Ants: Carpenter ants infestation is indicated by presence of ants, ant trails, saw dust, and noises in walls. Mature colonies have a main nest and one or more satellite nests. Are not always black in color and vary in size. Swarmer’s (winged ants) appear from May to August from a colony usually 3 to 4 years old. Do not eat wood, they only hollow it out to nest in. Will forage up to 100 yards for food and water. They are most active at night.
